Since 2002, I have diligently and most passionately discovered where my niche lies. Professionally, I am a trained journalist and registered dietitian and food science expert who is well-versed in the field of health and wellness. I grew up with a European father who taught me the values of good food, good eating, and the pride involved in preparing your own simple meals that taste great. Eating well is simple and tasty. Nutrition without a kitchen is a prescription without a pharmacy.
I care about the health and
well-being of others. While I have become much more realistic over the years, it does not deter me from trying to make the world a better place. It is clear we are malnourished. It’s apparent because most of us are not well. We are not our strongest selves. We live in a food amusement park and the multitude of products and so-called “nutrition experts” have clouded our judgment on the simplicities of being well. Health and wellness has layers just like an onion, and I offer the tools necessary to begin peeling those layers.
We are what we eat. That’s fact. Challenges present themselves in our quest to prevent, treat, and manage the abundant imbalances that plague us. A good diet has become hard to come by because our food system has gone awry. Our bodies are overloaded. Expertise is needed to present food and nutritional science information that connects both our health and our palettes while preventing crucial deficiencies. Many of us have actually become fearful of food and are limiting our diets too much. We continue to cut food out when we need to add more good food in. Every time we eat we are either feeding disease or fighting it.
Understanding food processing, nutrient retention and balancing our metabolism is necessary to make healthy food decisions. We all need to know how to execute sound food decisions. We are just ill-informed and inundated with forces we cannot control. We must put our defenses aside and our quest for absolute truth restored. Our wellness depends on it. If we are in control of our food we are in control of our bodies.
My purpose is to give truthful and helpful information so you can develop your own philosophies and make supportive choices. My knowledge and experience are not based on basic regurgitation of facts, but rather firmly rooted with a clear understanding of biochemistry, physiology and food science. There is an innate and biological necessity our bodies all have and the nutrients found in food fill that need. Our bodies are talking and no one is listening. They are starving for nourishment. I am extremely fortunate to have a solid foundation of education, personal and professional experience, intuition, and an unwavering dedication to share what I know.
The revolution is here. We must sharpen our survival skills. We must re-establish a relationship with nourishing food physically, biologically and spiritually. I am particpating in that revolution with education and a gentle urging to help people take control. The one thing we have is control over ourselves.
We eat to live. We must eat well to live well. While nourishment is universal, nutrition needs are individual. Discover and create the strongest, healthiest you.
Hello,
I’ve been reading some of your material here on your website and I must say I’m very interested in your passion concerning health and wellness (coming from the food aspect) This has been a great website, as well as your other site: jaimelaresetherapy.com
I would very much like to have a “phone interview” with you. I have a website up and am compiling some interviews on experts in the field which I want to focus on (detox), and I feel with your passion in the food aspect. The philosophy you have especially outlined in the “Oversight” posting of your blog really hit home to me, and I want to capture more of your thoughts and be able to give that to my guests.
So, if a phone interview is great for you, I’d like to see what your schedule is like and schedule one so we can have a 30-60 minute audio converstaion/interview.
Please let me know if that works for you.
Thank you
Jesse
